Stop Drifting.

Start Deciding.

When Your Role Expands - But the Expectations Get Vague

You’ve stepped into a bigger role. More responsibility. More visibility. More decisions that affect other people.

And yet… the clarity around what “good” looks like seems to shrink.

Feedback becomes sporadic.

Priorities feel fluid.

Meetings multiply.

And you’re left trying to interpret signals instead of executing with confidence.

You don’t want reassurance (well maybe a drop of that wouldn't hurt).

You want orientation.

If This Season Feels Different, You’re Not Imagining It

In many organizations, expectations are implied rather than clearly articulated.

Leadership is busy.
Feedback becomes reactive instead of proactive.
You get comments - but not synthesis.

So you try to read between the lines and adjust your focus. You second-guess your decisions. You wonder whether you’re investing energy in the right places.

Ironically, the more capable you are, the more frustrating this becomes.

Because you know you could perform at a high level - if you knew what “high level” actually meant in this context.

If you want clarity, you need a way to evaluate expectations independently and move forward - even IF you have to change direction later on.

You cannot steer a parked car.

What We Do

I offer two options:

One is an open consult - this is a free evaluation of where you are and what you are dealing with. I'll share what I'm seeing and what our work together would focus on. This is the first step to building a customized ongoing coaching relationship.

The other is a role-mapping process.

I often work with professionals who crave direction and focus in a chaotic environment. I've carved out a streamlined process for building out a map of where you are in your role and where you want to go.

"What if that map doesn't match what my boss wants?" It might not. Presumably if your boss were clear on that, you wouldn't need this. :) But I can about promise that whatever you have in your head now not only doesn't match what your boss wants - it also won't match what would make you proud and serve you best in your career.

This work brings all that forward.

This is not a generic course. It is a structured, personalized evaluation of your current role, designed to give you a clear picture of:

  • What your organization likely values most

  • Where you currently stand

  • Where the meaningful gaps are

  • What will make the most difference if improved

Over six weeks, we build your map together. This includes:

  • 1 hr Orientation session

  • 6 live 30 min coaching sessions

  • Customized visual role diagram

  • Written strategy notes

You leave with a clear top focus, talking points you can use confidently with your manager, a strategy you believe in.

No more waiting for perfect feedback.

Free Consult

If you want to explore whether ongoing work together makes sense, the consult is where we figure that out.

We get into your specific situation - what you are dealing with, what you've tried, where you'd like to be. I'll tell you what I'm seeing and what we'd work on together.

FAQ

Do you offer refunds?

Yes.

If within 30 days of our first orientation session you feel this process has not provided meaningful clarity or direction, email me at kim@3wc.io and you'll receive a full refund.

No friction. No hard feelings.

Is Role Mapping a video course?

No.

You’ll work directly with me, as a 20+ year tech leadership professional and certified coach, to build your Practical Role Map in real time.

If I add supporting videos in the future, they’ll exist to enhance the 1:1 work - not replace it.

Can you work around my schedule?

The first step is booking your 1-hour orientation session.

If you can find a time that works, we can usually find consistency for the ongoing sessions.

If you don’t see availability that fits, reach out directly (kim@3wc.io) - I can often adjust within reason.

I'm not in a leadership role. Could Role Mapping work for me?

I tailor the map to your specific context during orientation. If you’re navigating increased scope, ambiguity, or higher expectations, the framework applies.

What if I miss a session or have a rough week?

Life happens.

With reasonable notice, I’m happy to reschedule occasionally.

If sessions are repeatedly missed or continually rescheduled, I reserve the right to discontinue the engagement and offer the seat to someone else. That’s evaluated case by case.
